Yoobi Highlight: A Crafternoon with Shannon Gabor
As a child, my happy place was sitting at our kitchen table with a 64 pack of crayons, glitter, markers, glue and the irregular reams of paper my grandfather would bring from his job at Xerox scattered all over. From the kitchen table to the corner office, I was able to follow my passion and keep pencil to paper as I progressed throughout my career. Those memories of drawing, painting and designing around the table have become the tools I use to express my confidence and creativity because that is where I discovered my true passion.
Today, there is no greater joy than sitting with my daughter, Harper, at our kitchen table with her friends engaging in spontaneous “Crafternoons” as these youngsters let their inner Picassos shine though. As a mother, I like to take my daughter away from the screen and teach her to use her hands, as well as her heart to create. I truly believe that art is what you make of it. There are no rules. There is no limit. The ability to create and be free with expression is the greatest gift in the world. By hosting these crafty weekends, Harper has found her inner artist and calls me a “clever gal” because she is proud of what I do.
This past weekend, Harper and friends gathered at our home in Venice, Ca to create an autumn inspired craft. We laughed, shared stories and in the process created magical masterpieces using some of our favorite Yoobi products such as Yoobi glue, glitter pens, scissors and stencils.

Most recently, Shannon’s team partnered with Yoobi for its inaugural Clever Kids workshop, a passion and new philanthropic initiative that develops and fosters children’s creativity and imagination through focused workshops with 100% of the proceeds from the event going to local PTAs. When she isn’t busy designing client projects, or giving back to the community, Shannon enjoys spending time with her daughter, Harper, crafting away during the weekends, and using Yoobi products.
