DIY: Fun and Easy Handmade Teacher Appreciation Cards
Teacher Appreciation Day is right around the corner! Spread some much-needed love to the teachers (that could include your parents these days!) in your life by crafting this easy, handmade accordion card.
What you’ll need:
- Paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Markers, crayons, or pens
Step 1: Make the base. Cut a piece of standard letter paper in half. (Down the long way!)
Step 2: Accordion style! Fold and crease the paper down four times, alternating sides.
Step 3: Bloom your creativity. Unfold the paper and draw a flower (or another tall object) down its center, with the stem going all the way up the page. Bring it to life with some color!
Step 4: Show your love! Write a message that continues through the length of the paper. When your teacher starts unfolding the sections, your secret message will appear!
Step 5: Finish with an envelope. Cut out a rectangle with the dimensions of two of your creased sections. Glue the back of your folded card onto the bottom half of the paper and fold the sheet closed over the front of your card. Now you’ve got an envelope to hold your work of art.
