DIY: Tissue Box Monsters

Reduce, reuse and up-cycle! And what better way to up-cycle, than with a fun, hands-on craft? Scare off those spring allergies with these tissue box monsters! 

What you’ll need:

  • Empty tissue box
  • Construction paper
  • Paint
  • Paint brushes 
  • Glue
  • Black marker
  • Anything for decoration! Stickers, glitter, stamps, etc.

 

 

Step 1: Clean out the box. Take the plastic out of the “mouth” of your old tissue box.

Step 2: Give it a makeover! Get creative and paint your favorite design onto the box! Yoobi’s washable paint brush set and neon multicolor paint are the best for this! You can also add fun stickers, stamps, or glitter to give even more personality.

Step 3: Add some pearly whites and eyes. Take some white construction paper and cut out the teeth and the eyes. Use a black marker to dot the centers of the eyes.  

Step 4: Put it all together! Glue the teeth onto the inside of your monster’s ‘mouth’ and secure the eyes onto the back edge of the box so that they pop out on the top of your monster. Your new friendly monster is complete!
