Yoobi Gives Free School Supplies to 425K Kids This Back to School Season!
We hope you’re ready for this news because we almost can’t believe it ourselves. Because of you guys (the best Yoobi fans ever), we were able to give more than 425,000 kids FREE Yoobi school supplies to start the 2018 school year off right! That’s enough students to fill Dodger Stadium more than 7.5 TIMES! Or New York’s Madison Square Garden more than 21 TIMES!
We kicked off back-to-school season with an event in Chicago where we teamed up with Jennifer Hudson to donate free school supplies to more than 2,000 kids in need on Chicago’s south side.
Then we came back to Los Angeles and gave 700 kids at Euclid Avenue Elementary the surprise of their lives – every student got free Yoobi school supplies to call their own, AND LA Dodger’s star outfielder Yasiel Puig helped hand them out!
We were back on the road the following week to make sure that kids in Atlanta felt the Yoobi love. This time we teamed up with Shameik Moore, the voice of Spider Man in Sony Picture’s new movie Spider Man: Into the Spiderverse, and Tiff McFierce, DJ and Personality for the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, to get the students at Hambrick Elementary excited about the new school year.
Last but not least, we came back to Los Angeles for a Give Event of magical proportions! We teamed up with Wengie and our other amazing Yoobi BFFs to not only celebrate back to school season but to commemorate the Wengie x Yoobi box having donated 25,000 school supplies to kids in need! Wengie, Cassie Diamond, Alexa Mae and GEM Sisters, pop singer-songwriter Skylar Stecker, reality star Brynn Rumfallo from America’s Got Talent and Dance Moms, DJ Kevin Writer, and young changemaker Khloe Kares all helped us hand out school supplies to more than 460 kids in LA’s Compton neighborhood.
Giving back is the absolute best part about Yoobi and we are so grateful that YOU are on this ride with us. Together, we will continue to impact the lives of kids all across the U.S. and work toward a day where every kid has the school supplies they need to be successful and pursue their dreams.
