National Account Director

Yoobi, a purpose-driven company with giving at its core, is seeking an energetic, innovative, and process-driven National Account Director to join our collaborative, results-oriented team. This is an opportunity for a seasoned sales leader to expand a diverse portfolio of national retail accounts, build new channels of business, and translate ambitious growth goals into disciplined execution.

SUMMARY:
As the National Account Director, you will set the strategy for and lead the growth of a portfolio of national retail accounts across multiple channels, while identifying and converting new retail opportunities. This role requires a self-motivated, highly organized, entrepreneurial, and collaborative sales leader with strong financial acumen, excellent executive communication, and advanced Excel skills.
You will own account performance from new-business development and retailer onboarding through P&L management, forecasting, contract negotiations, and execution. Success requires strong follow-through, attention to detail, proactive visibility into progress and risks, and the ability to turn opportunities into clear action plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Develop and execute account-specific strategies across Specialty, Department Store, Club, Grocery, Drug, Regional Retail, Value, and Off-Price channels, aligned with company revenue, margin, and growth objectives
•    Build and maintain a prioritized new-business pipeline, with clear revenue potential, next steps, timing, and probability of close, while developing emerging and regional accounts into scalable national partnerships
•    Own account financial performance, including P&Ls, pricing, trade spend, promotions, forecasting, margin management, and data-driven performance analysis
•    Lead retailer onboarding and new item launches through detailed cross-functional implementation plans with clear owners, milestones, dependencies, and deadlines
•    Lead polished, customer-ready line reviews, assortment planning, and promotional strategies, leveraging retailer and consumer insights, including tools such as Numerator, to develop compelling, data-backed recommendations for retail partners
•    Build senior-level buyer relationships and direct broker partnerships with clear goals, accountability, reporting cadence, and performance expectations
•    Provide concise executive updates and proactive cross-functional visibility into account performance, opportunities, risks, decisions, timing, and business impact
•    Maintain disciplined sales operations, including accurate customer documentation, meeting preparation, follow-up, and timely system updates

•    Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with strong financial acumen and the ability to translate retailer, consumer, and market data into account strategies, merchandise plans, and accurate forecasts
•    Clear, concise verbal, written, and executive communication, with the judgment to create proactive visibility and escalate issues early with recommended solutions
•    Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and follow-ups while producing accurate, polished, customer-ready work
•    Results-oriented and execution-focused, with strong ownership, accountability, and consistent follow-through
•    Strong negotiating and influencing skills with internal and external partners, including experience managing and negotiating retailer and broker contracts
•    Technologically proficient and process-disciplined, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and consistently apply established workflows


EXPERIENCE:
•    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
•    8+ years of progressive sales and national account leadership experience in CPG or retail, including ownership of complex, multi-channel accounts
•    Experience managing accounts across multiple retail channels, including mass, value, off-price, specialty, drug, grocery, club, and department store. Experience building emerging and regional accounts into scalable national partnerships is strongly preferred
•    Experience in stationery, school supplies, toys, licensed products, or adjacent kids’ and family consumer product categories is strongly preferred
•    Experience using retailer and consumer insights platforms, such as Numerator, to translate data into actionable, retailer-specific recommendations and sales stories
•    Proven experience managing account financials, forecasts, and P&Ls
•    Experience leading broker-managed and direct retail accounts, including negotiating retailer and broker agreements
•    Proven record of independently driving complex workstreams against deadlines, maintaining strong attention to detail, and delivering measurable results
