Vision Board 2019 Guide: Achieve Your Goals
Yoobi teamed up with Super Mamas once again for their annual Vision Board Posada, where the popular podcasts’ fans come together to create their inspiration for the new year. In the spirit of welcoming 2019, we rounded up tips and tricks on how to create an easy vision board, what supplies you’ll need, and the creative ways to make it your own. Creating a vision board is an incredibly effective method of keeping your mind focused on your goals and aspirations.
So, set your intentions, list out your goals for the year, and let’s manifest an amazing 2019 together!
Materials You’ll Need:
- Any kind of board – a small canvas, cork board, or poster board
- A stack of magazines of your choice (we recommend a mix of fashion, travel, and home)
- Scissors
- Glue, tape, or pins
- Markers or colored pencils
- Personal photos (optional)
- Stickers (optional)
Define Your Goals
Before you start cutting and gluing, reflect on 2018 and apply clear goals and intentions that you want to achieve in the new year. Your vision board should look aesthetically pleasing, but it should also help you achieve very specific wins. Maybe you want to make more money this year, or maybe you want to practice more self-care. Setting clear goals will help with selecting your power visuals and theme of your vision board.
Don’t be afraid to think big-picture, either. How can you be a positive influence in your community or make an impact on current social issues? Maybe it is to volunteer at an animal shelter or help other communities during crises. This is especially important to us because it’s from the support of others that we as a company have been able to change lives since 2014.
Get Creative
Now comes the fun part! Flip through old magazines and look for words and photos that speak to you. This should be fluid and visually inspiring – don’t let a color theme hold you back. After you compiled your inspirations, then you can get specific about what other visuals you’d like to include. Maybe it’s a travel location that you’ve always wanted to visit or you want to include your favorite quotes. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in a magazine, you can always Google or Pinterest what you need and print them out. Feel free to also use your own photos for a personalized touch.
Make it a Party
Creating a vision board is a super fun activity, but it’s an even better time with friends! One of the many reasons why women look forward to Super Mamas’ Vision Board Posada is because while creating their vision boards, they are surrounded by other like-minded women who are looking for the same thing: to be inspired. Gather ‘round your friends, host a sleepover or a potluck, and get crafting!
