We're Celebrating 4 Million Kids!
On Day One Yoobi made a promise – for every item sold, we’d donate a free school supply item to a classroom in need. We’ve kept that promise and just over four years later, we are so excited to announce that together, we have impacted the lives of 4 MILLION KIDS across the U.S.!!! That’s more than 56 million school supplies and 130,000 classrooms stocked.
Here’s a look back at some incredible highlights from our fun and inspiring journey!
We’ve had some pretty amazing friends who have helped get us to where we are today. Usher, Pharrell, Jennifer Hudson, Shameik Moore, Yasiel Puig, Becky G, and Wengie have helped us donate school supplies and inspire kids all across the U.S. to dream.
We’ve donated to communities like Puerto Rico, California, Texas, Florida, Baton Rouge and more, when hurricanes, wildfires, and flooding have destroyed schools and homes leaving communities to start from scratch.
We worked closely with the United Nations Association to support more than 1,000 refugees who resettled into the U.S., giving them a warm and colorful welcome into their new home.
We made a commitment to support our Native communities and donate free school supplies to 20,000 Native American students on reservations by 2020.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti joined us as we made the largest donation to a single school district in our company’s history! The donation provided more than 1.5 million free school supplies to over 100k kids in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
We provided free sets of school supplies to 30,000 kids across 200 children’s hospitals in the U.S. to make sure that kids who were unable to join their friends in school due to illness, were still able to create, have fun and express themselves like their peers.
Impacting the lives of 4 million kids is a community effort. It took you, our fans, teachers, school districts, community leaders, parents, volunteers, our non-profit partner the Kids in Need Foundation and so many more.
